You remember your post about IE 10 mentioned in IE 9 and using resource hacker to find the mention of it?

Anyway I used resource hacker to check it out in Windows 8, but I couldn't find the same location, its not there, it stops at 54320 there isn't a 54528 like in your post, but that may be because I have IE 9 disabled.

Thats all the further mine shows at that location too in this this build.

It may be that we don't have the IE9 RTM version installed that we don't see it anymore.

I tried the Internet Explorer 10 Platform Preview (IE10 PP), it installed easily.
As was the IE9 PP it is missing several things, most noticeably the Command & Address bars, the back button is gone too.

At least it will run alongside of IE 9 RTM.

Here is a thumbnail comparing IE10 & 9.

Same build number?

-------------------------------

This is not to exciting but I discovered that when emptying the Recycle bin w/ 1 item in it shows a lot of detail of what it is (for some reason), haven’t noticed this in Win7.

yes it is the same build number and everything I believe, Winver shows "Version 6.1(build 7850.0.x86fre.winmain_win8m1.100922-1508)"

by the way I saw that when emptying the recycle bin too didn't dawn on me it was different, didn't register with me LOL

oh yeah and the little icon/button in the bottom right hand corner clicking on it gives you the option of changing "My settings, My Look, Switch user, Log off, and Lock PC", really like that
