Where to start

Where to start

I have recently purchased DualBootPro. There does not seem to be any documentation. Where do you start? I have installed DualBootPro on a system with Windows XP. No what? When I start it, it gives me a dialog box saying I need to backup the BCD but when I try to save a file somewhere it gives me errors saying the BCD is corrupt. There are no entries in the OS table. Where do you start?

Do you also have Windows Vista and/or Windows 7 installed at this point? You'll need to install one of those before you can backup the BCD, as it (the BCD) didn't yet exist in Windows XP. Check our 'How To' forum if you're about to install either Vista or Windows 7 so that you'll be able to do so properly. Then you'll be able to back up your BCD file and manage your boot options so that you can boot between XP and/or Vista/7.
