TV tuner card experience/recommendations

Postby yeshuas » Sun Jan 30, 2011 4:54 pm

I am looking to get a TV tuner card for my personal computer, would like to get any and all suggestions, observations, reviews etc.

I had/have an old ATI Theatre 550 Pro, never was to impressed or happy with it even when it was new.

I have the Hauppauge Win TV HVR-1600 NTSC/ATSC/AQM Combo and it works well enough for me. I rarely use it, instead now relying on Apple TV (which might be cheaper depending on the card you buy). You can plug it right into your monitor if you have a spare HDMI or DVI input. Both have a remote. I've heard good things about almost all Hauppauge products. :yesnod:
