Thanks for the info guys ^*^

I got accepted, here is the About Windows window with the version number.

I did a clean install of Windows 7 in VPC then, activated it & got it ready + created a "restore point" for the next SP1 build.
Cool User Name huh
The SP1 install seemed fast (I fell asleep & lost track of the time).

Haven't noticed any hiccups in it.

After a few restarts I noticed that on the desktop it says "Evaluation copy..." in the corner so I checked winver & now it shows a expire date too :x

OOPS, if I remember correctly how the last ones were, you have to just uninstall it in Control Panel

Thanks for the reminder Daniel :yesnod:

Yep, the Control Panel add/remove updates worked perfectly.
Removed the Evaluation copy & the expire date @ Run/winver ^*^

Ahh ya, another day another installation

After my uninstall above I wanted to try out Internet Explorer 9 PP3 so I did another install of SP1 (using the DVD this time) then installed IE9 PP3.

I haven't noticed any problems using this build of IE9 besides navigating. Still no favorites, back button, Tools, etc.
I did spin through several sites & noticed that PROnetworks default is "Document mode: IE 9" whereas some other sites are lower, I even saw one that the default was IE 5

I have had to stop using this, I was getting continual performance failures with both Opera and Microsoft Security Essentials, occasionally turning my rig into a tortoise.

This is the most unsatisfying Windows client beta build I've used in a very long time...
