is it the mac or windows messenger

is it the mac or windows messenger

OK so i don't know if any read about my irritating internet difficulties I've been having..turned out it wasn't my router or modem it was the wiring of my cable outlet in my bedroom. but of course i hardly got any help and customer service just played pass the buck and because of that i had to endure 2 weeks of sh*t internet..but atleast my cable company gave me movie channels for free for 3 months because they didnt fix my problem the first time someone came over..ANYWAYS..
now ive been having this annoying problem with windows messenger on my macbook I have reason to believe it might be the laptops wireless card since sometimes it happens with skype too
where what will happen is that i dont receive all the messages that people send me and then when i go on my windows pc later on they all pop up at once..today i didnt receive 16 messages from my boyfriend! and all along i thought he was ignoring me! ugh.
windows messenger and skype work fine on my windows pc.
oh and i dont know if anyone else has been having this sh*t but everytime i try to change my status, type a personal status or change my picture i keep getting signed out. happens on the mac more than on the windows though.

btw on wednesday im taking my laptop in to apple to have them look at it again, they looked at it last week and the guy deleted some cache stuff and looked at the wireless signal.

just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what the problem might be.

Do you happen to have both of the messengers opened and signed in at the same time? It sounds more like a networking issue if several different computers are experiencing the same problem.

no because i use my macbook during the day and my windows pc at night.
all of it seems to happen only on my mac.

cant or better yet better not be my stuff because i replaced my modem, got a new router (even though i didnt have to) and had my cable company out here twice.
plus i don't have any trouble with my windows pc,ps3 or wii.

If it is MSN Messenger and you have Safari, it looks like there are numerous issues between these two pieces software. I would try removing safari just to confirm if that fixes the problem. If so, you may need to use another messaging application like adium.

I don't even use safari I use firefox.

either way i dont care so far i have posted it in numerous places including microsofts forums for messenger and nobody knows what the problem is.
ive pretty much given up and im selling the macbook..

i got all new internet stuff and even had the airport replaced in the macbook didn't do anything.

This problem seems solved now, but I'm not sure removing Safari.app is a good idea... kinda like removing iexplorer.exe IMO. I think you can easily remove it by uninstalling the normal way (drag to trash), but like I said, probably best to keep it though.
