Cannot remove XP Setup option

Postby FoggyDC » Sun Oct 03, 2010 7:43 pm

I have used VistaBootPro to edit BCD and it has removed the entry relating to XP but now I have VISTA and an option for XPSetup, which was left after a failed XP install - I think. It would not be first option and making VISTA the default still leaves XPSetup as the first option.

How can I get rid of it?

TIA

You can try making sure the CD/DVD tray is empty, Shut down the computer, unplug the power cord, disconnect the monitor, then after a few minutes reconnect everything and reboot the computer.

Then run VBP and see if you can remove it, if it is still there
