Re: Pre Installed 7 & XP Dual Boot No XP
OK, forget all of that earlier stuff. I used Partition Magic Pro and moved/deleted all the excess drives after I moved the 7 boot to C:So now I have 2 drives. C & D because I made the dvd E:
I STILL can't boot into windows. I get the xp boot screen, a flash of blue screen and a reboot. WTF? UI even slipstreamed the sata drivers into my XP SP2 disk. If I try without the slippped disc I get a blue screen saying that the install may harm my computer and shuts down. Jeez. What do I need to do or find out there to get XP on this Acer 5732z laptop? Should I try again on D now that its D instead of E? There are only 2 drives now, this should work, somehow.

No problem with 7. How do I get an image in here? Its local, not web.
Thanks!
I can quote the page though:
DISK 0
Acer (C:) Simple, Basic, NTFS (Healthy, System, Boot, Page File,Active, Crash Dump, Primary Partition)
212.88GB NTFS 180.11 Free
XP (D:) Simple, Basic, NTFS Healthy (Primary Partition)
20.00GB 19.9 Free
DVD is D:
You can see that I erased XP from D: for the time being hoping that the next time I try an install it sticks. I have uninstalled DBP for the time being as well until I get an XP to stick.
Thanks again.
