Time countdown to start Win 7 does not work

Postby marv32 » Sun Jul 18, 2010 12:49 am

Time countdown to start Win 7 in dual boot does not seem to work in my installation. Even tho I set the countdown time to be 0 sec for default drive, hit Apply, and rebooted, the countdown still took 30 sec. Next I reset timer to 1 sec for default drive just as a change, hit Apply, and rebooted, the countdown still took 30 sec.

This should not be complex -- what am I missing?

marv,

After you hit Apply are you receiving any messages? If you exit DBP and then open back up does it still say 30 seconds?

marv,

I actually just saw what you were talking about. In the OS list select an entry and then change the boot timeout and hit apply. This will update it. I will add this to the next release to get fixed. Thanks for letting us know.

jbullard, I did not receive a message after Apply Update. After exiting and restarting the program, the timeout number was 1 sec, its last setting by me and not the 30 secs that actually occurred.

Jason, I'm surprised that I may be the first person who ever tried to adjust the timeout in this program [and failed]??!!

Appreciate the quick help!!

Hrm. This is weird. Both of those get information from the same place. I'm wondering if you have another boot manager entry. Can you post the contents of Boot Information -> All? I guess I should have asked for that one first.

Thanks
