Okay. I am going to need some information then.

1. Open the Windows 7 partition and go to the Windows\System32 directory
2. Copy the file bcdedit.exe from there into your XP Windows\System32 directory
3. Launch command prompt (Win Key + R, or Start Menu -> Accessories -> Command Prompt)
4. Type in bcdedit -enum ALL
5. Copy and paste that here.

If you have all the system requirements for DBP then there should be no reason it won't start unless there is a problem with the bcd store. This will allow us to see the exact problem and provide a solution and incorporate that into DBP. :yesnod:

Reinhold,

Everything is fine here. I cannot find any problems with your BCD registry so this points to a bad install of .NET 2.0. I would download the file from the below location. Uninstall the current .NET install, reboot, and then run/install this file.

I installed it now on the windows 7 partition and it's ok.

Reinhold,

It is still really odd that you can't get it to run under XP. Let me do some more testing to see if I can't find what the problem is.

finally I got it. Now the program starts. The fault was: segoe UI font was not available in the "regular" version, in german "standard".
after a installation of the missing font everything works fine!
Best wishes,

Reinhold,

Thanks for the update. I will get that fixed in the next version. It should not force Segoe UI.
