Google Background Image

Just wanted to let everyone know that if you do not like Google forcing you to use a background image on their homepage then just use the SSL Beta version: https://www.google.com. Not sure why they are forcing people to have an image but hopefully they remove it. :yesnod:

Looks like one can change the background image at the link on the bottom left. I don't want to move away from the plain white because I'm not sure if one can change back to white again.

Yeah, if you have an iGoogle account you don't have a choice. There is no option to go back to white which is why I switched to the SSL version. :yesnod: As one person stated..."if I want a background image...i'll use bing!!!" haha

When you're in iGoogle, go to the top right hand menu and select Classic Home. That will take you back to the old google page and if you have google set as your home page the Classic will open each time.

Hrm. No matter what I do the images keep showing up. I have tried on several different computers. It doesn't matter if I am signed in or not.

For me it's on the Google homepage, not iGoogle.

Surely they wouldn't take away your ability to have the classic white background for Google
