Auto restore a bcd file

Postby Curt » Thu Mar 18, 2010 5:22 pm

Is it possible to run a script or batch file as a guirunonce command in a Winxp sysprep answer file that will restore a bcd file?
Thanks

Are you talking about importing an exported bcd store? If so, then yes. If not, could you explain what you are trying to do a little further.

What I am doing is imaging out WinXP with a bootable w2k8r2 vhd. I plan to build the image, backup the bcd file and then move it and the vhd to a new copy of the WinXP image that has no bcd file and restore the bcd file during first boot into WinXP. This is because imaging the WinXP kills the bcd file.
Thanks Curt
