Is there a way to make the other OS and Partition invisible when you boot a different OS? Thanks
Scott

Ahhhh OK
Remember that DualBootPro is not a boot manager. It is a GUI that utilizes the Vista/Win7/Servre 2k* bcdedit commands. that way you do not have to boot to a Win PE disk or type in all the commands lines and etc.

In (My) Computer > right-click > manage > Disk management you should be able to remove the drive letter from the other OS partitions making them invisible to Explorer, although I would not be surprised if you were unable to do this with the boot partition --- but maybe you can ?
I do not know about methods to do the same in non-Windows operating systems, and you should ask again about this in the appropriate forum area.

Re: Install Windows XP in Dual Boot with Pre-Installed Windows 7
Ok,
I want to remove/uninstall Dual Boot Pro because I want to try some other programs. Is this possible?
I have Win 7 Home Premium on Drive C. Drive D is what I have been playing around with trying to get multiple OS setup.
Also now my boot menu says:
Windows Boot Manager
Microsoft Windows -- When I click on this it gives me an error message of finding File: \bootsec.dos Status: 0xc000000f
Info: The selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt
Windows 7 Home Premium (Recovered) - when I click there it runs Windows 7
How do I delete the "Windows" selection in the boot menu?
How can I rename Windows 7?
Or HOw can I delete this boot menu and just have it boot to Windows 7?
Thanks
Scott

So i repaired them with the windows 7 disk and now Vista and 7 show but no XP. Am i stuck here for installing it all backwards or can i sort this out and get XP to boot?

Try the guide below:
Dual Boot Trouble Shooting Guide - XP / Windows 7 Running
You can use DualBootPro to remove the Vista.

Re: Install Windows XP in Dual Boot with Pre-Installed Windows 7
I just read through the whole thread here and I still can't get XP to read the SATA drive.
I connected a Floppy drive with the SATA drivers and I install them only to get a bad spool BSOD.
Any ideas?
I know this thread is old, but I'm hoping someone still reads it.

Re: Install Windows XP in Dual Boot with Pre-Installed Windows 7
Welcome to PROnetworks Bramlett85
Is the SATA drive new & have you ever used it yet?
I ask this as my friend bought a new Seagate SATA drive (from a retail store) & it was DOA out of the box
I havent installed XP on a new drive (I prefer WD SATA drives) in some time but if I recall correctly I didnt need any drivers for XP x86 to use it. Just put the drive in the case & the CD in the drive, press F8 @ startup & install XP.

Re: Install Windows XP in Dual Boot with Pre-Installed Windows 7
It is a brand new laptop and the hard drive is a WD Scorpio black 250gb.
I can't seem to find the correct SATA drivers apparently.
It's a dell laptop but the SATA drivers I got via the ST are not working properly.
I have Windows 7 Pro installed and I'm trying to get the XP Pro as the second boot.
Thanks!
