Changing the boot drive
I used to run Vista and then I installed Win 7 and a new hard drive. When booting into Windows 7 my OS disk is C: while my old Vista disk is drive D: I needed to reclaim the space on drive D: so I erased drive D: but of course my bootloader is still located on D: so now the PC will not boot. The Windows 7 repair console refuses to fix the issue but the Windows 7 install in still intact. Anyway I can move the bootloader to my C: drive? DO I have to move my BCD registry over to C:? The partition is marked as active and primary.
Re: Changing the boot drive
Try this.
Simply unplug drive D for now. Boot to Win7 boot DVD and do a start up repair. You will probably have to do a start up repair two time in a row. If that does not work then let us know.
