j j j juddering Windows.
Hi Guys,
I'm using XP Pro, fully updated.
Sometimes the cursor seems to be ignored by the PC, scrolling doesn't happen for a while, then it seems to "wake up" and do it.
Sometimes the cursor goes all juddery.
I've re-loaded the mouse driver and swept several times for nasties.
One of the things I have recently started using is 10bit Security 1.01.
Any ideas before I dump it?

Ya, I've seen security applications do that exact same thing. I don't have any experience with this one. Having said that, is there an option to reduce the level or frequency of scanning?

Hi Augie,
I'm doing manual scans just cos of the juddering.
Guess it 's a vicious circle.
I've dumped the 10bit and it seems much better.
Thank you.

OK, some things that you might like to use instead.
SpywareBlaster-writes known malware sites to hosts file thereby blocking them. Must update first and the enable 'All-Protection. Manually update on a regular schedule, say once a month or week, whatever suits you.
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware The free version is an on demand scanner and is very good at finding and deleting rogues.
Keep in mind this only for malware, not anti-virus and not a firewall. Those are separate apps.
