Hi Guys,

As a long-time resident of bizzarro-world I have pulled off quite a dumb stunt.
Unfortunately that's not all I pulled off.
Removing a couple of unwanted PCI cards from the beast I started unhooking wires that needed disconnecting..
Being a buffoon I then realised they were NOT connected to the cards....No really.
I'm taking a peek at the online manual for the MoBo for the wiring diagram.
My connectors have "A" and "G" on them, corresponding to the female bits.
Is this an indication of which is "Ground, i.e. negative?
This is why I am not allowed metal cutlery.
My ONLY clever move was to hang onto my old PC.

I pulled out my old Asus manual to look @ my notes.
Those tiny System Panel connectors are the hardest (for me) to get plugged in as the connectors are so small, is that what you are referring to?


My notes have the:
Green & Blue = Ground
Red & White = +

On another newer Asus board/ PC case they are different though.
You may have to refer to the case wiring diagram if its the System Panel, on/off switch, reset button, etc wires you are plugging into the MoBo.

Is the downloaded manual the only wiring diagram or is there a more comprehensive, clear, one?

I'm just a bit scared TBH.

The hardest one is the three socket plug with only two wires in it.

You have us at a disadvantage as we can't see what you can. I believe it's one of theses three things if it's a front panel cable is the hard disk activity light, the power on/off button and the reset button, none of which are polarized, usually the printing should show outwards. If you can link us to your manual we might get a better idea. I see we posted at the same time.

Hehehe, I just fixed your first post. That blue and white looks like a fan power connector as it has a second plug on it. Front panel connectors have no second plugs AFAIK. There should be a fan connector on the board then.
