external hdd problem

external hdd problem

My vista x64 does not recognize the Toshiba 160 GB USB 2.0 Portable External Hard Drive HDDR160E03X but x32 does.And I couldn't find driver for it.Any help please.ty

Have you got chipset drivers for your system installed? If you post details of your motherboard (make and model) or details of your system if it's an OEM branded system (make and model) we can help you find them.

Sorry body I finally got it since these portables got a short cable connector and I was connecting with extended cable the computer could not read the hdd and I am so sorry for troubling u. Thank u for ur help :embarrassed:
