When attempting to install W7 from within Windows vista I get this error:

Any ideas?

After I click OK I get

It could be the image is faulty. Probably a good idea to check the SHA1 number of the download with that posted on the download site.

If that wasn't it, I would have suggested re-burning the disk with verification, but glad to see you found the issue.

Yes, that was my first thought was a bad burn but the ISO turned out to be bad.

I started over again and it was 1:45 from download to desktop. ^*^ It would have been quicker but I spent about 5 minutes verifying the file and I took my time so as not to mess it up. :P

This solved it:

A must for anyone installing from iso.

I also have MD5summer and have used that in the past but hashtab is so much easier sitting in the right click context menu. :yesnod: Plus you get all 3 values in one pass which you can just C&P. It does in one step what MD5 summer does in 10 steps.
