Re: 7 IMP. questions For my VISTA
1) For me in Win7 the autoplay settings are in Control Panel (home)/Hardware & Sound/ Autoplay. Or you can “Search” your CP.
2) I did that also but never recovered all my files, sadly. I even bought some recovery software, I got probably 50% back but lost the rest. Someone else may have a good Recovery software thed suggest.
3) Vista Editions: here is a comparison chart. I use both HP & Ult, not that big of a difference for me.

4) cannot help ya w/ that.
5) does you IE7 work? Maybe a few restarts of the PC or a shutdown then start-up will work.
6) I’ve been using Partition Magic 8.0 w/o any problems, many others will not recommend it so you probably need to wait for another answer for that also.
7) I just googled & found this:
http://v9.update.microsoft.com/microsof ... x?ln=en-us
8) NP sorry it took so long.
