memory help
please can anyone guide me about buying memory? which one is better? buying kingston hyperx khx6400d2k2 800bus(1gbx2) dual channel ? or KVR800D2N6/2G+KVR800D2N6/1G total of 3gb? i was also considering about corsair dominator twin2x2048 8500c5d/1066 but my mobo asus p5qpl-am does not support that. thanks.

Re: memory help
You would want to install 2 identical RAM modules.
I am surprised by your statement that your motherboard won't support the corsair dominator twin2x2048 8500c5d/1066 -- if this is a new motherboard, I'm fairly sure it should work with them no problem, I have almost exactly that RAM installed on the 2-year old motherboard I'm using right now. And it seems this motherboard was released on 06/05/2009.
In fact, as you can see on page 2-10 of your user manual, setting your FSB value at 1066 will in fact allow you to use that RAM at the proper frequency, although I'm sure that the [auto] setting would do the same job

Oh I see, that is simply a list of RAM modules that have been tested to work on that motherboard, and NOT a complete list of the only RAM modules that will work on it.
I think you can install the 2x2GB Corsair Dominator quite safely
