Re: Welcome to our new Folding@Home Home
Looks like I'm finally folding stably and I'm not getting anymore errors. I may fool around a bit more with the X2 and try to squeeze an SMP in there but my previous efforts slowed the 260 down which of course is unacceptable. Fold on all!

Re: Welcome to our new Folding@Home Home
We need to keep folding as we are down to 8 active members and with Trey running reduced capacity we are struggling to keep our upward climb.
I am not sure if i am back to the production i had earlier but it must be close.

Well, it looks good so far Bill, if it continues at some 14K PPD like it did yesterday unless you get errors again. Trei seems to have finished moving and looks to be ramping up back on track too.

Re: Welcome to our new Folding@Home Home
Sorry guys but for the moment i am not able to run folding 24/7 because we are having unusually warm nights here when the temp is not dropping below 26c and the fans on the system are just too noisy in the apartment.
So when the night temps go down i will put them back on 24 hour folding.

I understand Bill, it almost sounds like an airport in here at times.

Re: Welcome to our new Folding@Home Home
Well, I've had enough with a dual SMP on the quad. The headaches involved in setting it up and troubleshooting just for an extra 700 PPD is just not worth it IMO. If I get an i7 machine next year then I'll try it again.

Re: Welcome to our new Folding@Home Home
I am getting really angry with folding and am ready to give it up.
How can this be right.
I am long past the point where i believe that this is a problem at my end, I am running 2 completely separate PCs both with GPU and VMware folding 24/7 and the stats record the WUs (14) but not the points, so unless i can find a reasonable explanation for this i am no longer prepared to stress the PCs just for the hell of it.
I get 2594 points for 3 WUs but only 1111 for 14.

Post up all your logs enclosed in the

tags and run this monitoring[\url] tool, same setup as FaHMon except that it doesn't install. This will tell you if anything is failing at a glance. I'm pretty sure you're getting GPU errors and this will either prove me right or wrong in a definite manner.
BTW, I'm not abandoning VMWare totally, just going back down to one instance of it. I'm currently getting 2K PPD instead of 2.7K and my CPU has plenty of wiggle room now.
EDIT: If you wish Bill, if I or someone else can get access your machine(s) and see directly what is going on with your setup as this issue is just not making any sense. Let me know if you'ld like to go that route, I'll have to take a refresher course in Remote assistance to set up permissions on your side.

Re: Welcome to our new Folding@Home Home
Now i am really confused?
I switched my team number and let machine run for 12 hours then switched the second and let that run.
just look at the results.
WTF is going on?

Wow, from that little snippet shown is what you should be getting! You're going to have to bring this up in the Stanford forums. I would never have thought of switching teams, you sir are Sherlockian in your thinking! At least we know it's not you and after all that work that you invested.
