I dunno why, but I guess I was expecting a little more glam for this release. I guess they are using the K.I.S.S. model

Prices look fairly reasonable though. Dave posted this earlier: http://www.pronetworks.org/index.php/co ... n7_prices/

It kinda looks less "glitzy" than the Vista boxes :yesnod:

Ya, but do you want to buy at Best Buy with the 'Geek Squad' there to help you out when in need? :whistle  Ya, sounds more like a loss leader to me to sell their wares what with the graduation traffic ATM. BTW, the 'glam' is on the inside!

I guess they figure most people never owned the last one that looked like that

I will be happy to buy the full version if the price is reasonable and MS does not get too greedy.
If it stays under the $300 mark that's OK but if they try to make a killing with prices i think a lot of people will walk away until they are ready for a new PC.

I personally like it a lot with only one complaint, that they took out "windows mail" which let me use my ISP mail service as default but no doubt if i work on that i can find a way round it (third party mail service)
