Wow man, my dealer shipped the PSU yesterday even though I paid by Paypal's eCheck which normally takes 6 to 8 working days to process! I guess I passed some pre-set level for purchasing from NCIX.com (yes I plugged them :)), has to be at least 2.5Gs within the last 3 years. ^*^ I'll have to send them an e-mail to thank them. :yesnod: It's rolling it's way here from the west coast so I hope it's here by Friday! ^*^ I can't wait!

Now I have a problem, I can transplant one 9800GT to my X2 but the other will be an orphan. I have most of the parts for a new rig but will need a PCI-E mobo + DDR to use up my Venice 3000+. Research time.:)

I really don't want to put the card in my 'spare parts bin' as that would be a real waste of some good hardware.

I was going to buy one of those from NewEgg yesterday, they had the "MSI 9800GT" on sale yesterday as a Shell Shocker for something like $59.95 after a $20.00 mail in rebate, but they were all gone as soon as the time came that they were to be available at that price, which was 3PM pacific time.

Well, got the PSU delivered just now. Weird thing is it was in a velvet drawstring bag like a bottle of Crown Royal! I'll post up a pic later. Anyways, it's too late to start surgery now as I've had a few brews and vowed to never fool around with hardware after I forgot to power off before changing IDE HDD's. There went a good Caviar 80GB. :x

Darn thing is heavy too, 8lbs compared to my current Antec 500W at some 5lbs. I'll check in here at 10AM EST or so and start the process after that. I can't wait! Lots of fun to come, changing out two PSUs, three graphics cards and installing W7 to replace the native Ubuntu on my X2 to do GPU. :silly: :uhhh

Wow, very nice indeedy! Had a couple of BSOD's but a couple of reboots fixed it. ^*^ Bad_pool_header and I'm sure something didn't like the driver but it's going great now. :yesnod:
