Restore Points dual booting Vista/Windows 7

Restore Points dual booting Vista/Windows 7

I have a Vista/Windows 7 dual boot system. Previously I had Vista/XP dual boot and booting to XP deleted all Vista restore points. Is there a similar problem when booting to Vista: Will Windows 7 restore points be lost?
How about booting to Windows 7: Will it delete Vista restore points?

Good question! It's just Windows XP and other previous versions of Windows that delete the volume shadow copy when a drive/partition is accessed from/by them. You won't have that problem with either Windows Vista or Windows 7 provided of course you do not boot to an earlier version of Windows than Vista.

I've modified the topic title slightly to better reflect the issue being discussed.
