eVGA Precision 1.7.1

Postby augie » Fri May 15, 2009 5:02 pm

I finally found where to get this as eVGA has nothing on this for download. What's with that? It's not a big file either but as usual I probably missed it. I had installed the new 185.85 CUDA drivers and RivaTuner 2.4 said it didn't recognize the driver and then I thought of Dan's post with the new Precision tool, installed now and OC'd. :yesnod: It's working on a 511 ATM, which never OC'd well but is now crunching @ %10 better! So I'll see what happens with the other WUs. The 1.7.1 Precision looks good, even for a multi-GPU rig, OC them all in one shot! ^*^

@Bill Seems 80 or so degrees is the normal temp, at least for my card at %50 auto fan. I'll see when I put the other one in, might be some heavy heat in there. Oh, this is with the side open too. Hmm, I'll put my room fan on it and see what happens.

These are the temps for the GTX295
I will have to switch rigs to get the 265 and will put it in as an edit.

Wow that thing runs hot Bill, my GTX 260 runs at mid 50's OC'd 10% and I was worried when it got up to like 66% for a little while.

Whew, finally back to full folding on both 9800GT GPU's! :yahoo: I really like this current eVGA tool and it performs as advertised admirably for dual GPU's! ^*^ No more need to use RivaTuner, though it is good but Precision is easier, dead easy for that fact.

My GPU temps continue to confound me as they both feel the same to the touch and RT gave me the same temps as now. I'll assume that a temperature sensor is faulty though the automatic fan speeds are the same. :confused The hotter one is the newer though all specs are the same and both are dual slot. Well, I'm not going to fret about this as they have worked perfectly well before. ^*^ 80C would certainly feel extremely uncomfortable, even on the outside! :blink :emergency:

Here's a screenie:
