Windows 7. dual boot on system mirror
Hello,
I've mirrored my system partition on Windows seven. It worked fine : in the boot menu i had to Win7 : one for the disk 0, one for the disk 1. In msconfig, boot was :
-Win7 - c:\windows
-Win7 secondary - \DISK1\\xxxxx (i don't remember)
since yesterday, in msconfig, the two entries appear as c:\windows.
i tried to remove disk0 in order to see if computer can still boot. The disk1 boot correctly, but win7 cannot start on Win7 secondary : it says that a disk is missing (althought Win7 logo appear for 3 seconds).
I was thinking that i could fix the problem with Vistabootpro, but I don't know how to do..
In "view settings", i see that the first entry is reffered to :
device : partition=C:
but for the second :
device : unknown
Does anybody know what i can do ? I know vistabootpro wasn't made for this ; vista can't do software raid1. But i'm thinking it could be a way to change more settings than those allowed in Vistaboot pro...
Thanks ..and i apologyze for my english, i'm french...

Yes.. it's not a typical problem..
Anyway.. thank you for the answer.
I deleted the mirror partition, and i've recreated it.
Everything works fine again. However, in Vista boot pro, I can still see remnants of my old dual boot. I think i will make a backup, to avoid problems next time
