Had Vista, installed XP installed VISTABOOTPRO winload gone
Hello,
Ok so to make a long story short, I had Vista on my hp pavillion laptop. I got some oldersoftware that's not compatible with vista. I followed the directions for VISTA BOOT PRO 3.3 by creating a new partition (G) while in Vista, installed XP in the unallocated space, downloaded VISTA BOOT PRO 3.3, downloaded .net framework and other required software, restarted, now Vista works fine, but XP says "windows\system32\winload.exe not found". Is there anything I can do to boot into both XP and Vista?
Thanks,
Infojeo

It's possible that you just need to add a drive letter to the XP entry. Check in Disk Management or Computer in Vista which drive letter XP is on and then check the Manage OS Entries page to see which drive letter is indicated for the XP entry.
If you post the text of View Settings>Overview page of VistaBootPRO and a screenshot of your Disk Management we should be able to tell.

That XP entry should not be pointing to winload.exe which is a Vista file.
I think delete the Windows XP entry using VistaBootPRO>Manage OS Entries - select the XP entry there and then click on the red x cross button.
Once you've done that put a check in Add New OS Entry>give it a name>Windows Legacy>drive G again. This should get the XP entry working.
