Re: I need help deciding
have you checked out the Asus n50 series? i think the only issue your gonna have is the touch pad.. its kinda off to the left, however it has a full keyboard , minus the number pad and its centered..
Re: I need help deciding
yeah, i did check it out. i'll probably just use my wireless mouse anyway. the touchpad won't be a big deal. i hate that it is off to the left a little but for the price i got that machine for, im not gonna complain

Well, i received the laptop and it wasn't the exact model the description said it was. Its a Asus G50V, has a T5750 2.0ghz cpu, 4gig ram, 200gig hdd, dvdrw, 15.4" screen, 9700GT 512meg video card. I'm kinda mad about this. Its still a very nice machine...but im missing half the specs and power.

I would contact eBay, and file a claim. I had to go through, a similar thing with a guitar, several years ago, where the guy said it was in good shape and it wasn't. So ebay and PayPal worked it out where I got half the money back.

i sent the guy an email, and asked him what he wanted to do about it. figured i would give him a chance to fix it before i filed a claim.

Yes, that is a good idea, and that is what I did too, but this guy would not budge, so I had to get PayPal involved

yeah, if the guy doesn't respond by tomorrow, then i will get paypal involved. the biggest thing i bought it for was the processor. i can add the hdd's and stuff and the video card isn't a huge deal...9700GT (the one thats in it) vs 9800GS. The laptop is in perfect condition. But i sold my Acer that had the T5750 in it. So basically all i've done was upgrade the video card for $300.

It gripes my but when people misrepresent something like that, he knew it wasn't what he said it was, and that is just criminal in my mind.

Re: I need help deciding
Well, i got everything worked out. I ended up trading the Asus laptop here local with a guy for a Quad core desktop and cash. I found another laptop and bought it.

So i ended up with a high end laptop and a high end desktop for a little mistake that guy made! HAHAHA!
and i wasn't out but $200 extra at the end!
