Apple Safari 4 installation in Windows 7
Has anyone had any success in installing Safari 4 in Windows 7?
My one attempt failed in the Windows 7 Beta x64

I was able to install it on my P5W DH Deluxe system with a E-6600 CPU with Windows 7 X86
I uncheck everything that it wanted to install along side and just installed the basic edition of Safari

Re: Apple Safari 4 installation in Windows 7
Ok, I uninstalled Safari so I could install and capture images that I forgot to do last time
Install is pretty straight forward
I don't like a lot of clutter on my desktop and I didn't want it to seek out and setup the printers etc. so I unchecked both boxes
TADA (wish I could have inserted the windows sound here)
I wasn't able to capture it, but it has a sorta Windows 7 look to it when you are signing into like Photobucket, and I clicked to put my username the box became highlited around the edges.
I haven't used it very much yet but from my brief experience It does seem like a clean slick interface.

Re: Apple Safari 4 installation in Windows 7
I want to try Safari 4 out, I suppose I should dump W7 x64 & install it again then.
Nice screen shot of the Top Sites window, I saved it so I could see the whole thing & zoom in on it.
Did you see the (their) apps it wants to install in the Start Menu
After my failed install the Apple folder was there but dissapeared after I left it.
Where is favorites, no tabs?
I will give it a spin tonight after a new W7 x64 install.

Ok first here is a screen shot of the Windows 7 effect I was talking about where it highlites the box around the edges when you click on it
I think the favorites is called "Bookmarks" it is top left on the menu bar and looks like an open book

By clicking on the "edit button" lower lefthand side
you can Move them around, Remove them, and change their size.

another included feature is "Spell check" although I don't see where it offers a suggested change it does show that the spelling isn't recognized

The more I mess with Safari, the more I like it, the history feature is really one of my favorite things. Located under the bookmark menu, you see a thumbnail image of the webpages you have visited like Windows Flip, and by clicking on the thumbnail you can go straight to that page.

The highlighted entry field is a Safari feature as I'm pretty sure that it does that on OS X as well. As for spell check, it's probably the same as in Word and Firefox where you right click and it will give you a list of suggested words.
