Enough PSU Power
I was wondering if an Antec Earthwatts 380w PSU would be enough and sufficient for this computer?
ASUS P5KPL-1600
Intel Core 2 Duo e7400 @ 2.8ghz
1x1gb Kingston DDR2 800 + 1x2gb Kingston DDR2 800
MSI Nvidia 9400gt 512mb
1x Seagate 250gb Sata II HDD

Re: Enough PSU Power
Not really enough, you need at least a 450 w in my opinion

Re: Enough PSU Power
Thankyou for your quick response.
Would a Thermaltake Matrix Case with its 430w PSU be enough?

Oh yeah, for sure. The 380 is OK but for long term stability the 430W is much better though I'd still go for a higher Earthwatts instead of what comes with the case unless you specifically know the PSU specs like 80Plus certified etc..
As you can see in my sig that I'm asking quite a bit from my Antec 500 but I will push that up to a 650W soon as I always like a good margin, I wasn't thinking about expandability when I bought the 500, just the price. Now I'll have another spare power supply. sigh

Re: Enough PSU Power
Ok, thank-you very much, I think I'm going to go with the RS-101, just under the matrix, I think the RS will be better for me because the USB ports are on the front not the side of the case. The RS also has the 430W PSU by the way.
Thankyou again.
Thankyou again.

This the PSU that it comes with. Take a look.
Also I take it the RS-101 case and this PSU will be compatible with my motherboard, sata dvd burner, sata harddrive and 9400gt.
Thankyou for your help so far.

Yup, excellent PSU and case! You are good to go!
(I always worry about buying a case w/PSUs though I know TT makes good products as I have one too and love it, meaning the PSU.)
