last night iw as playing WOW and my motherboard arc'd on something and fried my graphics card and motherboard in my internet system. so i have about $250 to spend on a new mobo and gfx card. just wondering what everyone thinks of this combo... i like having a spare graphics card in my internet system for a gaming system if needed. and it does all my F@H stuff so its good to have at least somthing good in it..

here is what i have for what i am thinking.

LOL, seems like almost everyone here is getting a P5Q. Darn good board. I would take a look at the 9800GT which is clocked slower than yours but has double the stream processors which folding uses. If you can afford a bit more money, the 9800GTX is clocked faster and has 128 streams. My 9800GT produces 5K PPD @ stock and is good enough for me and once I OC the sucker, should be able to get 6K PPD. I heard that 8800GTs were going for $80, might want to research that too. Oh, stay away from unknown card makers, mine is an eVGA.

Sparkle is by no means a "unknown card maker"...
