Ya, I saw on Discovery's Daily Planet on how they do that. Man, 40 HD camera setup to achieve that! I don't think they'll do that too often, considering the setup.

I can't even imagine how much that must have cost them. But they came in second in the rankings, even ahead of NBC. So not bad.
Surprisingly ABC got the top spot with viewers. I suspect the loss of Tim at NBC was a big reason for their lackluster viewers - they used to be number 1.

Ya, Tim lived for elections and he would have been as happy as a pig in the mud with this one.

I agree, it was a sad loss. I always watched NBC before this year.

NBC was actually #1 among adults 18-49 and 18-34.
NBC was always my first choice for election coverage. Even this time, I had CNN on my big flat screen HDTV (I only get cable on that one) and carried a smaller set (with rabbit ears) into the living room so I could watch NBC at the same time.
CBS used to be a powerhouse, too, with Walter Cronkite and Dan Rather.
ABC only won overall because of viewers 17 and under, and 50+. But NBC won among adults 18-49 and even more among 18-34.

Forty four million plus on average watched the election coverage on the...broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CW, Univision). I think it
