EVGA LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 750i FTW SLI
EVGA GeForce 9600 GSO 768MB (192-bit GDDR3, PCI Express 2.0 x16)
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz LGA 775 65W

OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) (again...)[/url]

What could make all that for less than $600 better? ... $120 in mail in rebates when I get it this weekend ... grand total of $461.33. Now that I've already paid for it... did I make any terrible mistakes anywhere? (and yes I know I took a hit on that video card compared to an 8800gt or 9800gt... but it's costing me $70 when all is said and done...)

I am considering throwing down a little extra cash on a new PSU for it as well... something around 300W and as high efficiency as I can get... but I need to let my spending 3 months worth of rent set in before I start shopping more... :whistle

I haven't bought a power supply less than 450 W in over 4 years so you may want to rethink the size of that

Yup on the PSU, why risk your rig on a $10 PSU?
Check out Antec earthwatts EA430 430W ATX12V v2.0 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC. These are really efficient, quiet and they also come in 380 and 500W flavours. I have the 500W and it works just great, also has a PCI-E 6-pin plug.
