Check the CPU thermal management features of your BIOS I think and turn them all off or disable them if they are enabled. What does Device Manager report on your CPU by the way?

thermal management is off and cpu clock speed is 2400 MHz, FSB 1600 bus, speed 400, multiplier 6.0 is fluctuating between 6 and 8.
