Worth worrying about loud DVD drive?

Worth worrying about loud DVD drive?

OK, I just got my Gateway P-172S FX in today, and it performs really well. When I tried to put a CD in though, I couldn't get the drive to open... I actually called tech support and then they told me it was a slot loading drive (you really can't tell by looking at it.. made me feel dumb, I kept trying to hit the eject button with a paper clip and everything). But anyway, it gets really really loud when reading DVDs. Like abnormally loud. You can definitely feel and hear it vibrating. Trying to pry it away from the top of the palm-rest area quiets it a little bit but you obviously can't hold it there forever. Is this something I should send it back for? Or should I just try to live with it and assume I won't be using too many DVDs anyway?
