HELP!! IDE to SATA hard drive boot issue!

Yep, if you get an enclosure to put the drive in then it'll work in the same way as a USB flash drive.
3.5 hard drives are, indeed, the big, standard clunky ones, 2.5s are the type you normally find in laptops.

I have a SATA drive as the primary running XP and I have a 300GB IDE drive (with no jumpers) set as my data drive. Both drives coexist without a problem. The BIOS recognizes the Seagate 300GB as a independent drive.
