Best Linux flavor
What is the best "flavor" of Linux besides Ubuntu?
Just wanting opinions. I was kinda looking at Gentoo.
Cheers.

Try Arch Seriously, huge learning curve but highly configurable and once you get this going, you'll be THE *nix geek on the block.

I haven't messed with linux in a while. The last time I did Fedora Core 5 had just come out......
I didn't like gentoo all that much. I know a lot of people do, it's all a matter of what YOU want. I'd definately have to vote for Fedora though. Easiest thing I've used as far as linux is concerned.

Mandriva is another that I used with success that comes to mind. Each of these variants are supplied with all the goodies you need to reach there, and among others includes the latest Xandros Crossover Office to allow the use of MS-Office from Linux
