clipboard access in firefox

clipboard access in firefox

Postby harbaughisback » Mon Nov 12, 2007 8:37 pm

i was watching an embeded youtube video (site sourced below) when, upon completion of the video, they listed some related url's with the option to "copy to clipboard."

i know of clipboardData.getData and clipboardData.setData options, but i think those only work on internet explorer (i.e. it takes activex to complete). but i was in firefox and the "copy to clipboard" option worked.

i tried looking through the DOM inspector to find out what they used, but i got lost in the mess of scripting that is the youtube player.

does anyone here know the code that allows firefox to alter clipboard content?

Check out these tutorials. They provide the code and flash stuff needed to perform that.
