You have to use the curly brackets around things like {dbgsettings}, {emssettings}, etc. That is why you got all those errors.

I just cut and pasted the list into the file. I'll recheck them though.

Maybe there might have been a paste issue either from here to there or from there to here. But we will find out what is going on cause you should not get those errors. I made sure that they were in the correct order.

3. bcdedit /set {dbgsettings} debugport 1
4. bcdedit /set {dbgsettings} baudrate 115200

RAM Defects
1. bcdedit /create {badmemory}

Global Settings
1. bcdedit /create {globalsettings}
2. bcdedit /set {globalsettings} inherit {dbgsettings} {emssettings} {badmemory}

Boot Loader Settings
1. bcdedit /create {bootloadersettings}
2. bcdedit /set {bootloadersettings} inherit {globalsettings}

Resume Loader Settings
1. bcdedit /create {resumeloadersettings}
2. bcdedit /set {resumeloadersettings} inherit {globalsettings}

Windows Boot Loader
1. [b]bcdedit /set {current} locale en-US

OK, everything was successful. I'll let you know the outcome. Probably tomorrow.

I did everything, even the force boot but it still doesn't work.

It seems as though the computer has a corrupted file or something. The computer reboots when I select "WindowsXP" just like it does when you first turn it on. When I choose "Vista" it boots up just fine.

I don't know if this means anything but when the computer first boots up, the first screen, where you can enter the bios setup system by pressing F-1, will also open a "Boot Menu" if you press the "ESC" key. When the Boot Menu opens, it lists both hard drives by their bios names. If you hi-light the one that has XP installed (drive c:), it open the boot manager that lists Vista and WindowsXP. If I select XP, it opens XP. If I select Vista, it opens Vista.
