Highest performance score you've seen?

My 5200+ was rated at 5.2 and I thought my 6000+ might be a bit higher than 5.4...MS must be biased toward Intel

wednesday,

That is good news to hear from me. I am about to purchase a quad core (4 x 2.4Ghz) system with about 8GB of memeory. So to hear that it is almost maxing out everything is music to my ears.

Aside from turning off aero glass interface and disabling remote registry and tablet PC input services (I use a wacom tablet as primary input, it became annoying), I haven't tweaked the system.

Aero glass looks quite slick, but I experienced slight visual artifacts in some of the opengl apps I was using, and until they or nvidia drivers are updated I'll stick with the "boring" aero theme. I don't need so much eye candy anyway..

If the score was not capped at 5.9, I wonder what the score would be.

People should note that Vista and W7 will not necessarily yield the same ratings for the same hardware.

Any ratings dating from, errrr ... 2007 :roleeyes ... are for Vista :whistle
