Safari for PC discussion
http://www.apple.com/safari/
I am using it now. And it is the fastest I think. But there are some things I really dont like. The skin it self sucks I think and the way text is shown. Cause on my site it comes up REALLY BOLD and looks ugly. And buttons are outlined in thick black(yuck).Everyone DL and enjoy
EDIT- I also see NO AREA for making themes!! I wanna make one so badly. I also don't see an area in the Safari folder. I hope someone can find it!

Though the skin is like other skins from Apple I am surprised that they would release a skin like that without offering any others with the download or allowing people to make their own. It's odd since they want a bigger share of the browser market. The skin just isn't inviting. If they added a community for people to make extensions and skins like FireFox I bet Safari would be the best competion since IE does w/e the *beep* it wants

Downloaded it and it is so much slower than IE7. Ran a benchmark and IE7 came out on top with a big margin. Plus you are right, the designs is horrible. You can barely read the text on the tabs and no link information is a big security risk. How, in the world am I suppose to know what I am clicking on??????
It also looks like a skimmed down version of IE7. Now I remember a couple of months ago Apple saying MS Vista looked like OS10 or something or another. I wonder how MS is taking this...

I wanted to install it today but I have been overloaded with work.
Firefox is my main browser on my laptop (XP) and my currently working desktop (64-bit). The 32-bit desktop with Vista is down right now. That's the only OS on which I use IE.
Can anyone tell how it compares to FF? Thanks.

As of right now I highly suggest sticking with FF, especially if you have addons with FF. I also don't like that the X is on the left of the tab.

Okay, thanks! Especially after what you guys all said. It doesn't sound too dazzling.

I do think that this browser has a lot of potential and it is still a beta and I am sure changes will be made once they see what everyone is interested in for a browser.

Don't like it -- looks like iTunes, directs me to some Apple advertising as the basic homepage, my own local html homepage doesn't work, skin is revolting, and if you really want FAST I would suggest using Netscape 7 instead
