Well then your vga adapter probably doesn't support allocation of shared memory :(
There are systems out there thta are built like that.

Nupe, it doesn't support it. I asked Intel once, and they said DMVT Is the way to go. I've said that when I had their 845G chipset, if it didn't then I don't see why they would now unfortunately :no ... seeing how it works, it's probably hard coded on the chipset.

The only way it could change is depending on how much RAM you have on your system. For the GMA900, the max is 128MB that's dynamically allocated.

If you have 256MB of System RAM, the gfx has 128MB to play with.
If you have >128MB or <256MB, then you have 32MB to play with.

1. in your BIOS,Goto "Advanced Chipset Features" or similar
2. Then find "DVMT/fixed Memory Size"
3. in This your Graphics memory is written
4. Now you can change it by pressing PageUp/PageDown(i recommend to set to "maximum" for 192 MB or 128MB)
5. Press F10 to save and the "y" and then press enter

It's Done!!!!
I increased my graphics memory from 64MB to 192MB!!!!!
