Hi Gravity,
I followed your instructions to prepare vista / unallocated space/
have my new space / rebooted 2x/ but windows cannot read my Window XP Professional for installations. It is the same Cd that i used to install on my old computer.
Now I'm not sure what to do.
I would like to hear from you ...or anyone with some knowledge.

Hi and welcome to PROnetworks! I moved your topic here to get more eyes on and possibly a faster solution. I'm not sure I understand you mean when you say Windows cannot read your XP Pro; do you mean the XP install CD? What is the error message?
Also, could you post a screenshot of your Vista Disk Mgmt so we can see the status of your HDD partitions? Also let us know how you prepared your XP partition for the install. Thanks and enjoy the site!

Have you ensured in BIOS that the DVD drive is set to boot prior to your hard drive ?
