NEED HELP

HI i did all the steps.
but when installing it appears a message that compatibility issues, it doesn't let me install it.
what can i do
"cannot continue because version of wndows in your pc y newer than the cd"
i'd appreciate your help.

exactly at which step u get the error message?
is it when u trying to clean install xp at the new created partition?

or r u trying to install xp from within vista?
