I've tried that, and even done a search but still nothing.

Boot into Vista

Unhide system files and folders

Goto drive D and find and copy the file to the root directory of drive C:

boot.ini
ntldr
ntdetect

These three files are needed to boot XP

Run VistaBootPro

If you already have a Windows legacy OS listed delete it
Add a new Windows Legacy OS and point it to drive D:

Restart your computer, it should work then. If not report back, we made have to modify your boot.ini for Windows XP or we can go about another way to repair your Windows XP.

We do have some others threads her that may help you such as

Thanks a lot, that's fixed it, I just got confused before when kd1966 said to put these files on the vista partition as I couldn't find them on XP.
