I take it you are using another keyboard plugged into your Vista system? I am hoping that you Bluetooth is USB. If not plug a USB/PS2 keyboard and mouse into the Vista system so you can use it for the trouble shooting. Once your system is booted up then plug in the USB bluetooth adapter. If the adapter powers up then Vista should have found it and you should see the adapter in your device manager also. If you see it in DM then you should be able to pair them up. If not goto the the website for the keyboard and mouse adapter and see if they have anything about Vista.

PS also tell us what kind of KB and mouse you have, we might can find something also.

they are dell.

Keyboard= M/N:Y-RAQ-DEL2

Mouse=M/N:M-RBB-DEL4

cant find any websites with drivers for them.

bluetooth adapter works and finds both devices but cant pair with them correctly, or at all.

ok i have got the bt mouse working.

no idea how though! i downloaded some wicomm patch thing, but that still didnt work. then after a few restarts (unrelated) i selected mouse in control panel clicked bluetooth tab and the mouse just connected!

no luck with the keyboard using that method. i wish i know how it worked though. as nearly all my usb devices are not working correctly
