i need webmaster help w/ apache port based redirects

Postby l33t » Wed Dec 20, 2006 12:14 am

i FINALLY got SSL working w/ my site ( ^*^ ^*^ ^*^ )
but.. there still is the problem of having port 80... i need a way to redirect all port 80 requests to one page...
and all 443 requests just continue on to the main site...

EG:

you connect with port 80 and are brought to a page that simply says...

bah blah blah we value your privacy blah blah blah SSL is good blah blah

click here to continue to the site... (https link)

it shouldn't be hard but idk how to do it (would it be a modification to the virtual hosts config or the main apache config???)

thanks for any help you can provide!

Smart, I usually opt for a more meta based solution, but whatever works! Cheers.
