VB Question

VB Question

Postby gries818 » Thu Dec 28, 2006 12:06 am

I copied the files to a program I've been working on to another PC and installed Visual Basic but when I goto to make changes I get this:

Code: Select all
Error   1   Unable to find manifest signing certificate in the certificate store.     My Project

I'm so confused? I copied all the files in My Documents\Visual Studio 2005\Projects\My Project

Is there a way I can ignore this error?

gries818,

In the solution explorer for the program double click on the program name (should be the first one underneath the Solution name). Then it will open the properties page and you have a list of options on the side. One of those is Security and you need to disable the security manifest (Certificate) which was probably installed on the other machine. Or you need to regenrate a new certificate for the current machine.

If this doesn't work let me know. I can't remember all the steps right off hand.
