Highest performance score you've seen?
I have a 3.3 at the moment. My new Vista ready PC next year should be much better. I'm waiting to get it after Vista comes out

This 4.5 by Steven Bink is the highest I've seen yet. He must have one hell of a graphics card.

What graphics card are you using? I think I got a 3 because of my graphics mainly.

Binks' score is limited by his CPU, not by his GPU.
My own score is limited to 2.0 by my FX 5200 graphics card, although when the DX10 cards come out and I finally upgrade my GPU, it will be limited to 4.1 by my Athlon64 3200+ Winchester, although I could certainly increase that by overclocking some more --- or getting a better CPU (probably not for this machine though ). But my RAM will in any case limit this PC to a 4.5 max (or thereabouts, depending on overclocking, as my OC is not currently maxed out), as this is the only non-upgradeable component in the system...
When the new hardware comes out, especially the DX10 GPUs and the faster DDR2 RAM modules, I would not be surprised to see scores of 6 or higher on the more powerful new rigs...

BTW John, what kind of RAM are you using ? it looks like you must be using either single channel DDR1 or otherwise have only a single RAM stick installed

Not a high score story...but I was pleasantly surprised that my score with 5536 went UP to a 3.1.
It had been a 2.0 on all previous builds of Vista.
