VistaBootPro 2.1 Admin. Issues
I have a Sony UX-180P UMPC running Windows XP Pro SP2 and I have installed VistaBoot Pro 2.1 and am getting this error message:
Error Accessing BCD Registry - Cannot access BCD Registry. Please right-click the VistaBootPro shortcut, and select "Run as Administrator" to try again.
Question: Do I need to install Vista onto a 2nd partition and the run VistaBoot Pro?
I notice on this website, that there are no basic instructions. If there are, I am unable to locate them.

We do have a general guide posted HERE
In order for VistaBootPRO to work properly, the BCD store must be located on the system partition from which the current OS was booted from. In certain situations ie: where a user switches boot devices in the BIOS, VistaBootPRO may not be able to find the BCD store to read - this would be the same if you tried to access it through bcdedit.exe
If you have any further questions, please post them and we will get you the answers you need
