Linux Teamspeak Server

Linux Teamspeak Server

Postby jasarien » Fri Mar 17, 2006 9:43 pm

I run a Teamspeak2 server on a Fedora Core 4 system which seems to be accessing a certain gameserver hosting site.

I just wonder, since the address of the site keeps coming up at random intervals on my routers outgoing connections log. Is there something about the teamspeak server that accesses these websites as part ofd an advertisment feature or something, or is it accessing these pages for some other reason??

The address appears in the log like this: (I have no way of telling if the connection is made via UDP or TCP)

TS Server IP | remote server IP | Port number
192.168.1.2 | 213.202.254.116 | 45647

and then when I ran a Traceroute, I got these results

Code: Select all

Trace complete

I went to the site and discovered it to be a German (or Dutch) gaming server host. I just wanna know why TS is accessing these pages and if theres anyway I can stop it from happening.
